How We Handle Corrections

Factual errors (names, dates, statistics, quotes, attributions) are corrected as soon as they are identified and verified.
Material corrections are disclosed at the bottom of the article with the date and nature of the correction.
Minor edits (typos, grammar, broken links) are corrected silently.
Retractions — on the rare occasion an article's central claim is materially wrong, we mark the article clearly as retracted rather than deleting it.
